    Cleaning

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Bona. All opinions are 100% mine.

One of the hardest lessons to teach my grandkids is to help with the household chores. They make up any excuse to avoid them. And sometimes they simply refuse! So how do you go about getting your kids to help with chores? Tips to get your kids to help with chores. And let Bona Power Plus help you, too!

Getting Your Kids To Help With Chores

Here are three tips that I have learned to help with this sticky situation. Tips to get your kids to help with chores. And let Bona Power Plus help you, too!

    Chill Out

Don’t stress over a cluttered play space or family room! Just chill out. Make use of storage cubes wherever you can fit them in.

Then just throw all the toys and other kid stuff into the cubes.  Clutter magically disappears.

My grandkids will actually help when I challenge them to see who can throw the most toys in the cubes in the fastest time. A bit of competition is fun for all of us and keeps us laughing and chilling while we are doing a chore. Tips to get your kids to help with chores. And let Bona Power Plus help you, too!

    Help Out

Now my granddaughter does love to help out on a few chores. She especially likes cleaning the floors. I’ve discovered that if I give her pint-size cleaning tools, like a broom or mop, she’s more than happy to join in cleaning.

She may not be very effective yet, but she is so cute it makes the chore seem easier.  So find ways to get your kids to help you by being creative with the way you ask them to help.

    Hire Out

And be able to admit when YOU just need a bit of assistance and don’t hesitate to hire a cleaning service every once in a while to do some heavy cleaning. You do deserve a break! Tips to get your kids to help with chores. And let Bona Power Plus help you, too! Sometimes I just bite the bullet and do the chores myself.  And when I do I want it to be easy and quick. Keeping the floors spotless is one of the chores I like to stay on top of because they can get dirty so quickly.

Besides my two grandkids, I also have two dogs. You can imagine the mess!  The floors need attention on a daily basis.  And a deep cleaning is the only method that makes me feel good about them looking good and being sanitary. Becoming a grandmother was one of the greatest days of Carey's life. She never wanted to be called grandma and instead settled on Grambo, the Rambo of Grandmas! Now she needs all the survival skills she can get as she lives under the same roof as her grandkids. It's an adventure but one that keeps her young!

Thank you for this info on getting the children to help with chores and the Living-Room-Checklist! Might you have one for each room, geared to 12-15 year old? My sister, Michele, is a single mother of two, neither father pays child support and rarely helps with financial challenges. One cannot be found. The other is a registered sex offender and the child does not want to see him at all. Her first appointment with the Attorney General is February 29, 2022. Abby, their is 12 years old. If there is anyone or any info that would be helpful in preparation of this very, very important date, please send. Rayden, 14 with Autism struggles just as much as Abby, 12. I’ve contacted the school and they are helping with whatever they can. I’ve made several financial ‘donations’, helped with cleaning, organizing but it always goes back to the way it was. I’m exhausted mentally, physically and financially. Thank you in advance for any feedback, advice you may have for them or me.
