This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Tyson Foods, Inc. The opinions and text are all mine.

When it comes to fall, one of our favorite things is sitting down together to watch football. We’re huge college football fans and there’s just something about the energy of the game day that feels really good. One thing that we always have to have is game day food. With two kids (one who is a picky eater), having kid-friendly game day food that also appeals to the adults is always my mission.

Oh, and it has to be easy to put together. I don’t want to miss the game because I’m in the kitchen prepping food for everyone else!

Tyson® products have been a staple in our kitchen for quite a while. If you look in our freezer, you can usually find at least one bag of Tyson Chicken Nuggets or Tyson Any’tizers® Popcorn Chicken. They work great for quick meals and snacks, so I always make sure I’m stocked up.

They’re also perfect for game day entertaining. We all want to put out good food everyone can enjoy while we watch the football game, but we also want it to be simple to put together. So, this year, I stocked up on some of our favorite Tyson products while I was at H-E-B doing our grocery shopping.

I was also able to get some of our other favorite finger foods and a variety of tasty dips and sauces at H-E-B. Check out how easy it is to put them all together in a simple game day spread that everyone in the family will enjoy!

My trick to putting together an easy game day spread is to keep it simple. You know what kinds of foods your family and friends like to eat, so don’t feel like you have to think too far outside of the box. Make what everyone enjoys!

For this spread, I focused on the chicken as the center of it all. At H-E-B I picked up:

    • Tyson Fully Cooked Crispy Chicken Strips
    • Tyson Any’tizers Popcorn Chicken
    • Tyson Chicken Nuggets

Tyson Any’tizers Popcorn Chicken is perfect for entertaining. It’s packed full of flavor and protein and looks good on the table! I love that Tyson chicken is raised with no antibiotics ever and is made with all-natural ingredients (minimally processed and no artificial ingredients).

Even when you’re noshing on game day food and maybe not worrying about what you eat, Tyson makes it easy for me to feel good about the chicken I’m putting out for my family.

Once you’ve chosen the focus of your game day food, add in some other favorite finger foods. Things like veggies and chips are great because they go well with dips that I put out with the chicken! It’s a super simple way to tackle food and get to enjoy the game!

I picked up some pretzels my family loves, a variety of chips, and some veggie sticks.

Pretzels, celery sticks, potato chips and dips

Then it was time to focus on the sauces and dips. Chicken is great on its own but there’s nothing like having a good dipping sauce. Here are some ideas of sauces and dips I sometimes use:

    • Ketchup
    • Honey mustard
    • BBQ sauce
    • Ranch dressing
    • Blue cheese dressing (You can check out our Homemade Blue Cheese Dressing recipe if you want to make something to add to your spread. It’s so good!)
    • Buffalo sauce
    • Onion dip
    • Guacamole
    • Queso/cheese dip
    • Bean dip

And I could go on and on. I basically go to H-E-B and see what they have, then stock up on a variety. I come home and put it all into dishes. It’s really that simple! The adults love it! The kids love it! What more could I ask for?

TIPS FOR KID-FRIENDLY GAME DAY FOOD

    1. Decide what the center of your spread will be. I go with Tyson products most of the time because I know we will all enjoy it.
    2. Grab a few other finger foods.
    3. Pick up some dips and sauces.
    4. Cook up the chicken, put the sauces and dips in bowls, and then put out the other finger foods.
    5. Fill up your plate and sit down and cheer on your favorite team.

If you’re looking for a great dip idea that’s simple to make, you’ve got to try my favorite chicken dipping sauces!

I’ll dip in almost anything delicious when it comes to chicken, but I love making this smoky sweet barbeque honey mustard sauce. You won’t believe how easy it is to make!
