All opinions and experiences are my own.Just because summer is over and the holidays are still on the horizon, party season does not have to end! I love the late days of summer than start to melt into fall and Labor Day just seems to be the perfect example of that feeling. It’s also a great reason to invite your friends over for a cookout and one last hurrah before fall settles down. These easy Labor Day Party ideas make decorating with style easy.

Plus, you can use these ideas over and over again!

    Easy Labor Day Party Ideas

For Carrigan’s first birthday I found a few dishes that could be used for other celebrations throughout the year. I love finding versatile pieces that we can use again and again. It makes decorating easy if you have a collection of dishes that you love to pull from when you entertain!

Many people will go with a patriotic theme for a Labor Day shindig, but I prefer to go more with some of our favorite colors that still speak to the memories of summer. You could also do a theme with all white dishes, white tablecloth, and invite your friends to all wear white because we all know you’re not supposed to wear white after Labor Day, right?

Or just pull from some classic pieces and allow your food to tell the story.

    Classic Summer Drinks

Here in Texas, we love our Iced Tea and Lemonade. Some of us even like them together! They are drinks that make me think of summer and sipping them on a warm summer evening before the chill of fall is perfect for a Labor Day party. Classic Hostess has a great variety of drink dispensers that are perfect for every occasion. You can find dispensers in plastic, glass or ceramic, single or double and with your choice of a metal or plastic spigot!

I love the Glass Mason Double Drink Dispensers with Chalkboard Labels because they are so versatile! Lemonade and sweet tea are perfect for Labor Day. But these dispensers work great for a birthday party too! or even a baby shower! I had a pink lemonade themed baby shower with two kinds of lemonade. So perfect, right? All you have to do is change up the labels to fit your theme!

    Showcase the Food

Recently I discovered the world of cake stands! Let me tell you that if you don’t have a cake stand or two, you need to get one! They are great for parties and you don’t just have to use them for cake! They are perfect for displaying all types of food at different levels on your food table. And that makes it so easy to fit more food on the table while keeping the table looking good!

I have a few plain white cake stands that are extremely versatile, but I’ve fallen in love with the Milk Glass Cake Stands by Classic Hostess! They are available in a variety of colors and sizes including 6″, 9″, 10″ and 12″! I love the idea of having a few stands in different sizes and colors to really make a food table pop! I love them for labor day because they have bright colors that stil speak to summer.

And how awesome would it be to reuse them for a birthday party later this year and then maybe even Easter next year?

    Food Ideas

Once you have your basic display dishes in your collection, you can focus on the food for your Labor Day party. Keep it simple and keep it fresh. If you’re doing a cookout then hit the basics like hot dogs and burgers with fresh sides. Some other easy food ideas that are fresh for Labor Day include:

    • Kabobs
    • Steaks
    • Coleslaw
    • Mozzarella & Tomato
    • Fruit Salad
    • S’mores

The food doesn’t have to be complicated! You can even think about doing it potluck style! Keep it simple and pull from the decor you already have and you’ll have a relaxing and enjoyable Labor Day celebration with your family and friends.
