One of the best ways to learn with kids is through hands-on activities. Another great way is to plan things to do that relate to their interests. That’s what inspired our Letter N Craft Template!

I know so many kids who love ninja turtles so this letter N craft is an easy way to review the alphabet and make a fun craft at the same time! It’s a great craft to make with your toddlers, presch0ol aged kids, and kindergarteners! You might even be able to get the older kids in on the fun with the ninja turtle theme!

For more hands-on learning, be sure to check out all of our Letter of the Week crafts!

    LETTER N CRAFT TEMPLATE

The great thing about this letter of the week craft template is that you can use to make ninja turtles or you can also use it to just make an N is for Ninja craft as well. All you have to do is change out the colors of the paper you use!

To make the N is for Ninja Turtle version we made you’ll need green and blue card stock or construction paper. You can also swap the blue for your favorite turtle’s color!

If you want to make a non-turtle ninja, you’ll need black and red card stock or construction paper.

We used orange as the background for our letter N but you can use any color you want your ninja to be hanging out on. That makes it easy to use the craft supplies you might have around the house. Our colors are just inspiration!

LETTER N CRAFT TEMPLATE & MATERIALS

You can either draw a letter N or you can use our letter N craft template to print an N to use. If you’re using card stock, you can print the N directly on the green paper. If you’re using construction paper, I recommend that you print out the letter N, cut it out, and use it as a tracing template on your construction paper.

To make this letter of the week craft, you’ll need some basic materials. There’s a good chance you have everything you need already!

    • Bright green, bright blue and orange card stock (if making a non-turtle ninja – Black and red cardstock) – BUY MY FAVORITE CARD STOCK HERE!
    • Googly eyes
    • Glue stick – I STOCK UP WITH THIS PACK
    • Pencil
    • Black marker
    • Scissors

HOW TO MAKE N LETTER OF THE WEEK CRAFT

Start by drawing a letter N onto your green paper or printing it using the Letter N template.

    Cut out the N.

Draw a wide rectangle (about 1-inch wide) that is long enough to go across the entire width of the N on the blue paper. Cut it out.

Then draw two leaf-like shapes on the blue paper and cut them out.

Green letter N with blue bandana shape

Glue the blue rectangle across the upper part of the letter N. This will be the ninja’s bandana. Trim off any extra paper from the sides and where the N goes down in the middle.

Glue the two blue leaf shapes on the left side of the bandana.

Then glue two googly eyes on the bandana. One should be on the right side of the letter N and one on the middle section.

Use a pencil to draw a mouth on the bottom right part of the letter N. Then trace over it with a black marker.

Glue the Letter N ninja turtle to an orange piece of paper to finish.

Letter N craft for toddlers, preschool, and kindergarten

If you want to make a ninja that isn’t a turtle, cut the letter N out of black paper and make the mask pieces red instead of blue. Then you can use a white pen or crayon to draw the mouth on it!
