I’m sharing my easy KRAFT Macaroni & Cheese Star Wars Boxed Shapes toppings bar as part of a sponsored post for Socialstars #Youknowyouloveit
There are a few foods that always make me feel like a kid again. They just seem more fun than others. Macaroni & cheese, tacos, cookies, cupcakes. You know all the things that seem to go along with good times. But as a mom, I like to put a little twist on it for the adults so we put together our own macaroni & cheese toppings bar this week!
Macaroni and Cheese Toppings Bar
The great thing about our macaroni & cheese toppings bar is that it all started with a request from Weston. He wanted his favorite macaroni & cheese. You know, the macaroni in the blue box with the yellow? Also known as KRAFT Macaroni & Cheese Dinner. It’s a favorite in our house and I’m pretty sure we’re not alone!
Of course these days, Weston also has a very specific request when it comes to the shape of his macaroni & cheese. It has to be one of the KRAFT Macaroni & Cheese Star Wars Boxed Shapes.
Adding a little grown up twist always makes a bit more fun for the older “kids” in the family. And, before you start worrying about the prep involved, let me tell you – it was easy.
Macaroni and Cheese Toppings
Here’s why it’s so easy to do. You’re making your KRAFT Macaroni & Cheese Star Wars Boxed Shapes for the kids already. So, just open another box and make a little bit more. Then scour your pantry and refrigerator to see what you might have to add in. Or, if you’re planning ahead, add some of these things to your shopping list!
- Bacon
- Ham
- Tuna
- Green Peas
- Broccoli
- Mushrooms
- Green Onions
- Shredded Cheese (any types that you like!)
- Breadcrumbs
- Salsa
- Ranch dressing
- Ketchup (hey, this was one of my favorite macaroni & cheese toppings when I was a kid!)
Put all of your toppings out in bowls. And let everyone make their own personalized macaroni & cheese! I told you it was easy!
Our macaroni & cheese toppings bar was a huge hit for a few reasons. It was easy (which mom loves). It was fun (which the kids love). And, it was tasty (which everyone loves)!
There were no leftovers at dinner time!
Of course the true test is whether or not the kids enjoy the meal.
If you don’t pay too much attention to the fact that she already has some food on her face, you might be a bit worried that our KRAFT Macaroni & Cheese Dinner wasn’t a hit.
But what you might not know is that Carrigan is a silly little girl who likes to joke around.
She ended up eating all of her macaroni &cheese and then some of mine. Oh, and playing with a few pieces too. So definitely, an easy dinner that was fun for all!
I’ll admit that it was even more fun because we got to examine the KRAFT Macaroni & Cheese Star Wars Boxed Shapes and listen to Weston name them all. Good food and good laughs. What more could you ask for during dinner with the family?

This is such a cute idea! My kids love when we do anything that they can build themselves, its funny how much kids prefer things that they made themselves!

What a great ideal…. I think a lot of people don’t like mac & cheese because they get bored with it. This is so perfect fix it and let everybody add what they want to make it special
