My family loves pasta dishes but I will admit that I run out of ideas and end up doing the same dishes again and again. Then Krista from Everyday Mom’s Meals reminds of a simple dish that I haven’t made in years with her Mom’s Goulash recipe!

    Mom’s Goulash Recipe

As you know, I love recipes with ingredient lists that include items that I am familiar with. This recipe is perfect in that respect so it will definitely be on the menu plan for us soon! The only thing I need to

    What you need:

    • 1 lb. elbow macaroni, cooked and drained
    • 1 lb. ground beef
    • 1 small onion, chopped
    • 1 tsp. garlic powder
    • 1 (26 oz.) jar spaghetti sauce
    • 1 TBS dried parsley, extra for garnish
    • Salt and Pepper to taste.
    • Grated Parmesan cheese

    What you do:

    1. In a large skillet, brown ground beef and onion until no longer pink. Drain if necessary.
    2. Reduce heat, season with garlic powder, salt and pepper.
    3. When macaroni is cooked, add to meat mixture.
    4. Add spaghetti sauce. Stir to combine.
    5. Sprinkle with parsley and stir.
    6. Cook on low for 10-15 minutes to allow flavors to combine and thicken slightly.
    7. Serve with extra parsley and Parmesan cheese.

I also love how easy this is to prepare. J has been wanting to help more when it comes to meal prep but he sometimes feels intimidated. This goulash recipe is straight forward enough that I think he could step into the kitchen with confidence! It’s also a great one for me to throw together when I want a good one pan/pot recipe.

Share your favorite one pot/pan family friendly recipe!

I love goulash. My moms recipe is delicous but it has green peppers in it which i love but my kids dont so I dont make it very often. I should try this recipe out since it doesnt have green peppers and see if they like it.

This sounds so good. One thing i do is add corn in my goulash. I know it seems weird but it is so good. We eat corn or salad with pasta all the time and I thought why no just add it in the goulash.
