Did a friend or family member recently have a new baby? Put together a practical gift with these must-haves for newborn gift baskets!

When a new baby is on the way, there are so many gift options. My ideas for putting together the best newborn gift baskets for bottle feeding babies are sponsored by Philips Avent as part of an Influencer Activation for Influence Central and all opinions expressed in my post are my own.

Check out the easiest baby gift basket ideas that will actually get used by the new parents!

Newborn Gift Baskets - Check out these simple DIY ideas for putting together a feeding themed gift for parents. These ideas work well for girls and for boys, plus they're practical which means your first will get used! You can even go cute while still being practical with the first idea!

Bottle Feeding Must-Haves for Newborn Gift Baskets

When it comes to newborns, there are so many products available that it can seem overwhelming if you’re looking for a great gift idea.

My best advice is to focus on one area, like diapering or feeding. By choosing one area of new baby life, it’s easier to choose some items that can be put together into a great gift.

I’ve found that some of the best gifts are the practical ones. They might not be as cute as some of those little outfits or toys, but if you want to give a gift that will get used, try these suggestions for putting together the best newborn gift baskets focused on bottle-feeding!

Bibs and burp cloths are great newborn gift ideas to help with feeding!

    1. Bibs & Burp Cloths

Putting together a newborn baby gift set that is all about feeding might not seem as fun as shopping the aisles of cute baby gear, but some of the basics that you can add to your gift are plenty of bibs and burp cloths!

They come in so many cute designs and colors these days, that this is the way to add pops of color and a touch of cute to your newborn baby gift basket!

You can get some that coordinate or just get the cutest ones! The most important thing is to get bibs that look large enough to be practical for actual use. That’s my one tip for when you’re shopping baby bibs, no matter how old the baby is!

Put together a newborn baby gift basket for feeding with these ideas!

    2. Bottle Brush & Dishwasher Basket

Bottle cleaning is something that has to be done when you’re bottle-feeding a newborn baby. So anything you can add to make it a bit easier is a great gift idea!

We were a combination feeding family so we used a lot of bottles. The one thing I never seemed to have enough of was bottle brushes. I’m pretty sure you can never have enough of them!

Add in a dishwasher basket if the new parents have a dishwasher and don’t forget a drying rack! Even though we had a dishwasher, we did a lot of handwashing too, so having a bottle drying rack on the counter was the perfect accessory!

Bottles are a must-have in newborn gift baskets! New parents will love them!

    3. Bottles & More Bottles

I guess it’s pretty obvious that one of the most basic additions to newborn baby gift baskets is the bottle itself!

Philips Avent has been a bottle brand that our family has depended on for both kids.

The Philips Avent Natural bottle has features we loved including:

    • A wide breast-shaped nipple that makes it easy to combine with breastfeeding
    • Airflex vent that is designed to help reduce feeding issues like discomfort and colic
    • Ultra soft nipple that is designed to mimic the feel of the breast which was great for us as a combination feeding family

Phillips Avent bottles work great for all types of feeding so they make a great addition to newborn gift baskets!

As I mentioned, we were a combination feeding family and I feel like we did everything possible. I nursed and pumped. We also used formula and donated breastmilk. Bottles were a huge part of our lives when the kids were babies.

The features of the Philips Avent Natural bottles are what really made our combination feeding plan work well for our family. It seemed like they made it easy for my kids to go from breastfeeding to the bottle.

They didn’t mind if it was a bottle of pumped breastmilk or infant formula as long as they had the Philips Avent Natural bottle!

Phillips Avent Natural bottles make infant feeding easier and make great gifts!

I also love the wide mouth on these bottles because it’s easier to fill with breastmilk from storage bags or with formula. Plus, they’re easier to clean for me than bottles with the smaller size mouths!

It’s the brand I always recommend to my friends who are expecting and the Philips Avent Natural bottles also work well in newborn gift baskets because you can get them with different flow rates!

    4. Bottles on the Go

One thing that every bottle feeding family needs, whether they’re using bottles for formula or breastmilk, is a bag to carry bottles in when they head out of the house!

My favorite bottle bags are the double bags. There are many to choose from, so you can probably find a great one to coordinate with your other baby gift basket ideas that you include!

If the new parents will be formula feeding or combination feeding, another great piece of baby gear for on the go is a formula storage container. It makes it easy to take smaller amounts of powdered formula in the diaper bag so they’re always prepared!

    5. Bottle Warmer

Although it’s not a must-have for newborn gift baskets, a bottle warmer is definitely nice to have.

Bottle warmers make it easy to prepare bottles, especially in the middle of the night! So if you’re looking for a gadget to add to a newborn baby gift, it’s a practical one that will get used. There are other ways to warm bottles, so it’s not always on the top of priority lists for new parents, but every mom I’ve known who’s had one has loved theirs!

You can use them to warm formula bottles, breastmilk, and even baby food jars later on!

So the next time you need a great gift for your friends who are expecting, opt for a gift that’s a bit more practical. It will be the one they are thankful for when the new baby just needs to eat!

Shop for a few cute bibs and burp cloths, then shop dependable brands like Philips Avent and you’ll start putting together newborn gift baskets that everyone will be talking about!

Once the baby arrives, practical gifts make the best gifts!
