HOW OFFERPADÂ MAKES HOME SELLING EASIER
Thinking about putting your home on the market has a lot of challenges. There are a lot of things I’ve thought about including what our home might be worth, how long it will be on the market, prepping for showings, costs that would be involved, and what our house would eventually sell for.
There’s also the emotional side of it all. When you’re thinking about leaving the house that has seen so many of your family’s memories, there’s definitely an emotional attachment!
It’s a lot to have on your mind when you need to sell your home!
The founders of Offerpad took their experience in real estate and knew there had to be a better option. Offerpad strives to streamline the entire process to make it more convenient with fewer hassles.
Using on-demand technology, sellers now have a platform where we can get a fair and fast offer for our homes. This makes selling easier but it’s not the only thing Offerpad has to offer sellers.
When you sell your house to Offerpad, you get a contract and closing without having to deal with traditional real estate timing. As the customer, you get to help set the timeline for everything! Oh, and if you’re moving locally, they’ll even pay for your move!
I’ve spent the past year working out what we wanted to do with the home we have been considering selling. Walking through the process on Offerpad.com proved to be as easy as they explained.
HOW THE OFFERPAD PROCESS WORKS
You start the process by visiting Offerpad to request an offer. It takes just a few minutes to complete and you’ll receive an email offer for your home!
You’ll need some basic information about your property (including the address) then they have you confirm details about the home such as square footage, details about flooring, countertops, appliances, landscaping and more!
Here’s the list of questions I had to answer about our home to get our quote:
- Square footage of the home
- Year the home was built
- How many stories the home has
- Does the home have a basement
- Any additions to the structure of the home
- Number of bedrooms
- Number of bathrooms
- Parking or garage space available
- Countertop material
- Type of appliances
- Additional kitchen features like a double oven, walk-in pantry, built-in wall oven, and built-in microwave
- Type of flooring throughout the house
- Landscaping
- Swimming pool
- Community details
- Additional home details like solar panels, septic system, well water, busy roads, etc.
- Any additional details you want to share!
Then you explain your relationship to the home (whether you’re the owner or a real estate agent) and if the property is currently listed by an agent.
Once you fill out the information on where you want the offer sent, you can then upload photos of your property as well! Photos can give the Offerpad team a better idea of what your home might be valued at so they can provide you with the most accurate offer.
