Puff Pastry Party Ideas for Birthdays is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Pepperidge Farm Puff Pastry.
When it comes to birthday party planning, I’ve figured out that less is often more. You can get extremely elaborate but that often leads to stress. Keeping it simple is a great way to make sure that your next birthday party is fun for everyone!
Puff Pastry Party Ideas for Birthdays
Recently I hosted a party on behalf of Pepperidge Farm and the theme was birthday! I love a good birthday party so this one was a blast for me to plan!
When it comes to birthday parties, the first thing you need to do is choose a theme or a color scheme and then go with it. For this party, I chose a classic color scheme of red, blue, and yellow. It’s a great set of colors because it can also be used with a variety of party themes or just on it’s own! It’s great for circus or carnival themes, balloon themes, cars themes, or even LEGO themed parties for the kids. And for an adult party the colors are festive and fun!
I did incorporate some balloons in with our classic birthday colors for a little bit of a theme. Here are the other simple ideas I included:
- Water bottle wrappers
- Silly Straw Balloon favors
- Take a Guess candy jar game
- Striped scrapbook paper (to go under the serving dishes)
- Striped boxes for food stands (we already owned these but you could achieve the same easy look by wrapping cardboard boxes in wrapping paper that coordinates with your theme or colors)
And then I went with food ideas based on classic favorites that would appeal to both kids and adults. That makes them great for any kind of birthday party!
Using Pepperidge Farm Puff Pastry for a different take on burgers was a fun and easy idea! I used a round cookie cutter to cut circles from Pepperidge Farm Puff Pastry Sheets. Then once they were done baking, I pulled them apart before the cooled completely to make a bun for our mini burgers!
These pizza tarts using Pepperidge Farm Puff Pastry Sheets are great for a party or an easy family dinner! Cut your Pepperidge Farm Puff Pastry Sheets into 9 pieces, top with pizza sauce and toppings, then bake and enjoy! That’s how simple it is to make them! And you can add any toppings that your family loves!
Grilled Cheese Pops
I just discovered Pepperidge Farm Puff Pastry Cups and fell in love with them! They are so easy to use and I used them to do a fun take on everyone’s favorite grilled cheese. These are so easy to make as well. About halfway through the baking time of the Pepperidge Farm Puff Pastry Cups, pull them out of the oven and push down the tops to make the cup shape. Then fill it with chive cream cheese and top with shredded cheese. I used a cheddar and fontina blend for these pops. Finish baking and then add a lollipop stick before they cool completely!
Cinnamon Sugar Fries
One of the most popular sweet treats at the party were the Cinnamon Sugar “fries” and I love them because they are another super simple recipe. All you have to do is roll out your Pepperidge Farm Puff Pastry Sheets then sprinkle them with a cinnamon and sugar mixture. Use a pizza cutter to slice them into skinny rectangles reminiscent of french fries. Place on parchment paper on your baking pan and sprinkle with sparkling sugar then bake! I served these with caramel sauce to dip in.
Banana Cream Pies
I would have never thought to make pies with Pepperidge Farm Puff Pastry but then I found the Pepperidge Farm Puff Pastry Cups and inspiration hit! I love how versatile these sweet bites can be! Simply bake up your Pepperidge Farm Puff Pastry Cups according to the directions on the packaging. Then fill each cup with banana pudding and top with whipped cream. It’s that easy! And you can make them with any flavor pudding. I want to try them with chocolate next!
And last, but not least, are my Candy Cupcakes which were a HUGE hit at the party. Yes, these are “cupcakes” made with Pepperidge Farm Puff Pastry! Aren’t they adorable? Plus there is a tasty surprise inside — a mini chocolate bar! As with most of the things I make, these are also easy to do! Roll out your Pepperidge Farm Puff Pastry Sheets to a 10″ by 10″ square then cut it into 25 pieces (you will only need 24). Place a mini candy bar in the middle of the square and press seams to seal. Put in a mini cupcake liner in your mini muffin pan and bake for 10-14 minutes until browned on top. Let cool and then frost!
So the next time you find yourself hosting a party, consider Pepperidge Farm Puff Pastry because it makes it easy to take your entertaining from ordinary to extraordinary! You can make everything from appetizers and main dishes to your favorite desserts!
Pepperidge Farm Puff Pastry can be found in the freezer aisle of your local grocery store and is the perfect blank canvas to create an amazing meal for your next party or get together!
