So many of my friends and I have learned a lot about gardening over the past few months. It’s become a hobby and a way for us to also provide homegrown food for our families. It’s a time when the importance of community gardens couldn’t be more apparent!

Right now I’m working with Pure Farmland and I’m excited to share about their Pure Growth Project!

This post is sponsored by Pure Farmland. All opinions are my own.

PURE FARMLAND SUPPORTS COMMUNITY GARDENS & FARMS

Pure Farmland is a plant-based brand that belies that good things are grown from the ground up. Over the past few months, I’ve had the chance to learn more about growing things from the ground up with my mom. Together, we’ve shared the experiences with my children.

In support of this belief, Pure Farmland has launched the Pure Growth Project. It’s a grant program that supports community gardens around the county and continues to build on the brand’s commitment to protecting American farmland.

Did you know that 92% of Americans believe that green space like community gardens can improve neighborhoods? And 94% believe that there are benefits to getting produce from a community garden. These benefits include things like:

    • Fresher produce
    • Healthier produce
    • Tastier produce
    • More accessible ingredients

In an effort to support local community gardens, there are a number of things involved in the mission of the Pure Growth Project. The mission includes:

    • Grow urban areas accessibility to fresh produce
    • Support green spaces in neighborhoods with limitations due to capacity and economic restrictions
    • Increase the availability of locally grown, sustainable food sources such as fresh fruits and vegetables to communities across the country.

    ABOUT THE PURE GROWTH PROJECT

Pure Farmland will be providing $100,000 in financial support to nonprofit organizations and food projects. The funds will be given via grants ranging in value from $1,000 to $20,000 each.

Applications will be accepted through July 31, 2020. To submit an application, visit pure-farmland.com/impact.

Pure Farmland aims to strengthen communities and neighborhoods by nurturing green spaces, especially in more urban areas.

We can all help protect these areas too. for every Pure Farmland product purchased, the brand will donate the cost of protecting one square foot of farmland. This donation will be done in partnership with American Farmland Trust, an organization that has protected over 6.5 million acres of farmland and ranchland since 1980.
