Now that we’re homeschooling, lunch happens at home. Finding ways to keep the kids interested in easy lunch ideas is key for me. At the same time, I’m trying to make sure they get good nutrition as well. These Sandwich Bar Ideas for Kids are fun ways to change lunch up a bit.

    SANDWICH BAR IDEAS FOR KIDS

My two kids have very different eating habits and one of them is a very picky eater. Peanut butter sandwiches are a staple for him and I’m always looking for ways to make them a bit more interesting and add in more nutrition without pushing him out of his comfort zone. Sandwiches are one of the best ways for me to do this.

For me, the bread we use is very important. I need bread that has a soft and smooth texture for my kids to enjoy Oroweat Organic White Made with Whole Wheat Bread has a texture they enjoy while providing the nutrition I’m looking for.

The fact that it features Disney’s Mickey and Minnie Mouse makes it even more popular in our Disney loving house!

We were excited to receive a box packed full of goodies that encouraged my daughter to get in the kitchen and help make lunch!

If you’re looking for a kid-friendly bread that offers more, Oroweat Organic White Made with Whole Wheat Bread not only features the familiar faces of Disney’s Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, it is made with Organic whole grain as the first ingredient! The bread is plant-based and is a good source of Vitamins A, D, & E.

Here in Texas, we use Oroweat bread but you can find the same delicious, sustainable products under the Brownberry or Arnold brands depending on where you live!

HOW TO SET UP A SANDWICH BAR

It’s so easy to set up a sandwich bar. It’s great for kids of all ages and for adults too! All you need are some of your favorite sandwich fixings and bread!

    Oroweat Organic bread

Oroweat Organic White Made with Whole Wheat Bread is the perfect bread for a sandwich bar. You can use any serving dishes you already have. You’ll need a serving dish for each sandwich component:

    • Bread
    • Meat
    • Cheese
    • Veggies

Then I usually just set any condiments my kids like out in bottles. For an extra special touch, I put them in bowls with cheese knives so they spread them on.

Once you have all of your sandwich fixings, arrange them on your serving dishes or a tiered serving platter and you’ll be ready to enjoy!

Kids love choosing what they put on their sandwiches and I like including nutritious opinions for them to choose from! It’s an easy way to encourage them to make better food choices!

You can serve your sandwiches with carrot sticks and low-fat yogurt for a quick, easy, and nutritious lunch the kids will love! Even my picky eater is interested when we break out “Disney’s Mickey bread” and he gets to build his own lunch!

Sometimes breaking away from the routine while staying in their comfort zone is the perfect way to make a meal more interesting!

Using white made with whole wheat bread is one of my best tricks for adding more nutrition into my kids’ meals without them knowing about it. Oroweat Organic Bread is USDA Organic and Non-GMO Project Verified. It’s also sustainable baked using renewable wind energy.

I love how easy it is to make good food choices with help from Oroweat Organic White Made with Whole Wheat Bread.  The brand is also a member of 1% for the Planet which means they donate 1% of the bread’s revenue to support a variety of environmental causes.

It’s such a simple way to do good things for my kids and the world they’re growing up in — all while enjoying a delicious sandwich!
