Football season is here! For me that means fantasy football but for Justin (and even Weston this year) it means weekends full of college and professional football. It also means we need game day food to munch on! Justin is a meat and potatoes type guy so I had fun turning one of his favorite meat dishes into a fun game day bite with these slow cooker pot roast sliders!
Slow Cooker Pot Roast Sliders
The most important thing about game day food for me is that the prep work can’t be too much. I might not sit down and watch all of the games, but I like to be out with my family enjoying time together. So sliders are always a great option. But pot roast might sound like it takes some work. Wrong! With help from my slow cooker, it’s very easy to make these pot roast sliders!
And my new secret to a great pot roast is Campbell’s Sauces Tavern Style Pot Roast. With minimal ingredients and short prep time, it’s the perfect solution for game day! I started the meat in the slow cooker in the morning and was ready to put the sliders together just in time for the first game of the afternoon!
What You Need:
- 1 pouch Campbell’s Sauces Tavern Style Pot Roast
- 2-3 pound beef roast
- 1 package slider rolls
- 3 slices of swiss cheese
- Horseradish mustard to taste
What You Do:
- Place meat into slow cooker and pour Campbell’s Slow Cooker Sauces pouch over the meat. (There is no need to add water!)
- Cook on high for 4 to 5 hours. (Start it in the morning to be ready for game time!)
- Remove roast from slow cooker and slice in small pieces that will fit on your slider rolls.
- Heat over to 350 degrees. Open rolls and place open side down on pan. Place in oven for 2-3 minutes to toast.
- Cut each slice of swiss cheese into 4 squares. Place one on the bottom of each toasted roll.
- Spread horseradish mustard on other side of the bun.
- Add meat and put roll together.
- Serve and enjoy!
