It’s Back to School time and we’ve put together a Teacher Survival Kit List to help you make your own Teacher Survival Kit Gifts.
Teacher Survival Kit List
It’s that time of year again! Back to School ideas and activities seem to be filling up our days! We’ve been going shopping for school clothes and school supplies while still trying to squeeze the most out of what we have left of summer!
One of the things we always do is pick up some extra school supplies and some things to give as a gift to our new teachers. One of the easiest Back to School gifts to make are teacher survival gifts!
We put together a teacher survival kit list of some of the best things to include (and ones that I depended on when I was teaching!) in your teacher survival kit gift.
Basic Teacher Survival Kit List
The great thing about making a teacher survival kit gift is that you can include anything you want! You can tweak it to have a theme or you can stick to the back teacher survival kit list like we did this year!
This is my list of basics I liked to have on hand in my classroom for myself:
- Lotion
- Carmex Comfort Careâ„¢ Lip Balms
- Deodorant
- Travel toothbrush
- Toothpaste
- Body spray
- Mints
- Gum
- Hard candies
- Bandages
- Antibiotic cream
- Stain treating wipes or stick
- Lint roller
- Tissues
When I was teaching, I used to make my own teacher survival kit and stash it in my locked cabinet for emergencies. I might not need it for weeks at a time, but something would always come up where I needed something I didn’t have in my purse! In those moments, I was always glad to have a little emergency kit stashed in my classroom!
I always include some items that I liked having on hand like Carmex. I grew up using Carmex because Grambo has been a fan for a long time. She’s been using Carmex® Classic Lip Balm in a Jar for as long as I can remember!
These days Carmex Comfort Careâ„¢ Lip Balms are my thing.
They’re made with natural colloidal oatmeal that helps soothe and promote softer hydrated skin. They also contain antioxidant-rich fruit seed oil to help provide moisture, restore beauty, and defend against free radicals that accelerate the appearance of aging!
I love that they come in a variety of flavors too! Flavors include:
- Watermelon Blast
- Sugar Plum
- Mixed Berry
For me it’s a toss up between Watermelon Blast and Sugar Plum for my favorite!
Make Your Own Teacher Survival Gifts
When you’re ready to make your own gifts, you have a few decisions to make to narrow down your teacher survival kit ideas. But they’re easy to make so no extra stress during Back to School season!
- Choose a container for your teacher survival kit gift.
- Shop for goodies using our teacher survival kit list or your own ideas.
- Write a little note for the teacher.
- Don’t forget to take it with you to Meet the Teacher or the first day of school!
We also include a little gift card for our new teacher too. Sometimes to a place where she could buy any extra classroom supplies she needs and sometimes to a place where she can just enjoy a treat all for herself!
So be sure to add Carmex to your back to school shopping list and have a wonderful new school year!
