Brighten the Holidays for Service Members with the USO Wishbook

This post was sponsored by the USO. All opinions are my own. I’m excited to share about the USO Wishbook and how we can support our service members this holiday season.

It’s so easy to get caught up in how busy our lives are during this time of the year. So many opportunities to spend time with the people we love and enjoy tasty treats. It’s important to be thankful for all that we have, but it’s also important for us to remember that not everyone has these opportunities during the holiday season.

HELP THE USO BRIGHTEN THE HOLIDAYS

December 3rd is Giving Tuesday. It’s a generosity movement that is celebrated around the world to embrace the power of giving and the change it can bring. It’s the perfect way to begin the month of December which is a month with so much giving involved.

During the holidays, there are many service members who will be on duty and won’t be home for the holidays. There won’t be any late arrivals for an early Christmas dinner or opening gifts later in the day. These men and women are serving our country while the rest of us spend time with our loved ones.

The USO’s mission is to strengthen service members by keeping them connected to family, home and country, throughout their service to the nation.

    USO WISHBOOK & GIVING TUESDAY

The USO asks all military supporters to join as a Force Behind the Forces® and support its effort to connect service members and their families to home, no matter where they serve.

The USO is celebrating Giving Tuesday with the USO Wishbook. It is an online alternative giving catalog that offers us a way to support the USO by purchasing symbolic representations of the USO’s programs, services, and activities to support U.S. service members and their families.

The donations are used to strengthen America’s military service members by keeping them connected to family, home and country.

The USO WishBook is a very simple way we can give back to our service members this holiday season.

HOW TO HELP THE USO THIS HOLIDAY SEASON

If you’re looking to make a donation to the WishBook and support the USO this holiday season, there are two easy eays to do it!

    • Visit USO.org/Holidays and purchase a symbolic gift. You can specify how much you want to donate by choosing one of the gift options. You also have the opportunity to customize a greeting eCard when you checkout.
    • Set up a USO Facebook Fundraiser on your Facebook page. It takes just a few minutes to share with your friends about the USO’s efforts this holiday season and encourage them to join you! To learn more about starting a Facebook Fundraiser for the USO visit, USO.org/facebookfundraiser.

This is a wonderful time of the year to give to others and to teach our kids to do the same. The USO makes it easy for us to show our military service members that they are appreciated, especially during this time of year when we all want to be with the important people in our lives.

We hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season and has the opportunity share in the joy of giving this year!
