Valentine’s Day is a time for sweet treats around our house! Peanut butter and chocolate is one of my favorite pairings which is why we put a Valentine’s Day twist on an easy buckeye recipe for these Valentine Peanut Butter Balls!
Valentine Peanut Butter Balls
I love a good no bake recipe so easy peanut butter balls are one of my kitchen staples. It works great when you want to have kids in the kitchen because there’s very little heat involved!

We don’t usually have white chocolate chips in the house but they are a great change from milk chocolate in this buckeye recipe! So make sure you have those on hand. Together with some pink and red sprinkles (or Valentine’s Day shaped ones), they make these cute treats!
Peanut Butter Balls Recipe Ingredients
- 1/2 cup softened butter
- 1 1/2 cups peanut butter
- 1 Tablespoons vanilla extract
- 3 cups powdered sugar
- 4 cups white chocolate chips
- Pink sugar sprinkles
- Heart sprinkles

How to Make Peanut Butter Balls
Step 1. Line a baking sheet with a piece of parchment paper.
Step 2. In a large mixing bowl, combine butter, peanut butter, and vanilla. Beat using a hand or stand mixer until creamy.
Step 3. Mix in powdered sugar 1 cup at a time until you have the consistency you’d like.
Step 4. Spoon peanut butter mixture into small balls and place on your parchment paper lined baking sheet.
Freeze peanut butter balls for 15 minutes.
Step 5. Place white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl and heat on 50% power for 3-4 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds until melted.
Step 6. Place a toothpick in the center of each peanut butter ball and dip into melted chocolate. Leave the top 1/4 uncoated and place back on parchment paper.
Step 7. Once dipped, put peanut butter balls in the freezer for 5 minutes.
Step 8. Scoop the rest of the melted white chocolate into a sandwich bag and cut a small tip off a corner. Drizzle over each peanut butter ball and immediately top with sprinkles.
Step 9. Let harden for 15 minutes and enjoy!

These are great for Valentine’s Day parties (as long as there are no nut allergies) or just as a special treat for your family! The kids love helping decorate them!
The kids can help with every step of the buckeye recipe but an adult should help out with melting the chocolate chips and possibly the drizzle, depending on how warm the chocolate is!
