Part of being a busy parent seems to be a quest for more sleep, or maybe just better sleep. I’m realizing that it’s not always about how long I sleep but more about how well I sleep. So wouldn’t it be nice to know exactly how restful your sleep was each night?
Sleep Number SleepIQ can help you out!
What’s Your Sleep Number SleepIQ?
So I’ve always admired Sleep Number beds. I want one. I know I want one. And after my recent experience at my local Sleep Number store, I really want one.
I found out that the beds can track my sleep in addition to being able to adjust the mattress firmness to meet my needs. It was totally worth checking out in person!
I have been tracking my exercise and food for a long time. I even track the number of steps I take each day! But I’d never thought much about tracking my sleep. But the SleepIQ® technology from Sleep Number makes it easy!
Better Sleep with Sleep Number SleepIQ
There seems to be an app for tracking almost anything these days so I’m surprised I didn’t know about about the SleepIQ technology. I wondered how it worked and found out that there’s nothing to wear, nothing to turn on so the tracking happens automatically.
There are sensors inside that work directly with advanced DualAir™ technology inside the Sleep Number bed. They measure average breathing rate, average heart rate, movement, and bed presence to show you the quality of your sleep. You can track your data and look for trends to adjust things like the ideal comfort, firmness and support of your bed (aka your SLEEP NUMBER® setting!) as well as your daily habits like eating and exercising to see how they all impact your sleep!
Using a map of pressure points, I was able to find out that my sleep number is 40! We started at 100 which is the firmest setting and then moved lower until I felt comfortable. We were able to use the pressure point map to refine the settings even further. Grambo did the same and is actually a 40 too! Most people prefer a Sleep Number between 30 and 50, so it seemed like we were pretty average. All I know is wanted to stay in the Sleep Number bed for the rest of the day!
Grambo was pretty happy with her Sleep Number too!
Oh and if you already have a Sleep Number bed (I wish I did!) you can add the SleepIQ technology! It’s available on all beds!
