Today I have the next idea in our 12 Days of DIY Christmas Ornaments and it’s just as easy as yesterday’s Scrap Paper Ornament! This Scrap Ribbon Ornament will help you get rid of more of those craft supply odds and ends. Or it will let you have some fun picking out brand new ribbon. I know my craft store has some amazing holiday ribbon that I am drooling over!

12 Days of DIY Christmas Ornaments: Scrap Ribbon Ornament

Just like yesterday’s ornament, you can use a plastic or glass clear ornament. Just depends on how fragile you are comfortable with when it comes to your ornaments. Considering the fact that we have to redecorate the tree daily (yes the tree is already up) because little hands like to take ornaments off, I go with plastic for now.

    What you need:

    • Clear ornament
    • Assorted scrap ribbon
    • Scissors
    • Ribbon for hanging

    What you do:

    1. Cut your ribbon into various lengths.
    2. Push the strips of ribbon into the ornaments. If your ribbon pieces have a pattern, make sure you place them so the pattern is showing on the outside.
    3. Replace the hook and tie with ribbon for hanging.

If you happen to have extra ribbon laying around, this is a fun way to use up those extra pieces. But

What color ribbons would you use in your ornaments?
