Broccoli is a wonderful side dish because it’s packed with so many nutrients. It’s pretty easy to make too. Before I got my air fryer, I would usually steam broccoli when we had it. Then I made this easy Air Fryer Broccoli and I don’t know if I’ll ever go back to steaming it.

In about ten minutes, you get roasted broccoli that is full of flavor and so crisp. Did I mention how easy it is to make?

If you’re new to using an air fryer, this is a great air fryer recipe to start with!

    AIR FRYER BROCCOLI

If you like roasted vegetables, air fried broccoli gives you the taste of oven-roasted broccoli in less time!

The amount of time you cook it impacts how crispy the broccoli comes out. So if you prefer it less crisp, simply cook it for less time.

To make this recipe you need an air fryer. Air fryers come in a variety of sizes but they all cook in the same way. Hot air circulates around the food to cook it. You get a crispy outside similar to deep frying without all the fat!

No matter which air fryer you have, I recommend reading the manual to get familiar with it. Some models require you to preheat before cooking while others don’t.

HOW TO ROAST BROCCOLI IN AIR FRYER

For this version, I use garlic powder to add flavor, but parmesan cheese is also a popular way to make broccoli in the air fryer. You can add it in when you add the other seasonings.

It’s very easy to roast broccoli in the air fryer. You mix everything together in a bowl and then toss the broccoli florets in the mixture, coating every piece.

Then you put the broccoli in the air fryer to cook. It’s really that easy!

    AIR FRYER BROCCOLI RECIPE

To make air fryer roasted broccoli, you need a few very simple ingredients. You will need:

    • Broccoli
    • Olive oil
    • Garlic powder
    • Salt
    • Black pepper

The exact measurements of each ingredient can be found in the recipe card at the bottom of the post. This recipe makes 4 servings and takes about 5 minutes to prep.

The first step is to chop the broccoli into florets that are similar in size.

Then mix the olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl. If you want to use parmesan cheese, add it to the mixture.

Add the broccoli and toss until every piece is well coated.

Put the broccoli in the air fryer and cook at 375 for 10 minutes. Toss the broccoli halfway through the cooking time.

Remove from the air fryer basket and serve warm.

This side dish pairs well with Air Fryer Meatloaf and Air Fryer Chicken Thighs.

    CAN I USE FROZEN BROCCOLI?

You can use frozen broccoli in this recipe. It will give you more tender broccoli with less crisp. The texture will be different from fresh broccoli but both taste good. It’s a matter of personal preference.

IS AIR FRYER ROASTED BROCCOLI HEALTHY?

Absolutely! Using an air fryer is a great way to make your food healthier. You use little to no oil when you cook in the air fryer.

The circulating hot air is what cooks the food and gives you the crispy “fried” texture. This broccoli is a great option for an easy side dish!

CAN I MAKE AIR FRYER BROCCOLI AHEAD OF TIME?

Absolutely! Air fried broccoli can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for about 3-4 days. I recommend reheating it in the air fryer for 4-5 minutes at 375. Be careful not to burn it!

The reheated broccoli might be a little less crispy when it’s reheated, but if you use the air fryer, you’ll have the best crisp factor. You can reheat it in the microwave for about 3 minutes but it won’t be crispy.
