    Spring and early summer seems to be the time when we have the most family gatherings besides the holiday season later in the year. Cook outs and pot lucks are king and our KFC Copycat Coleslaw Recipe is always a hit!

    KFC Copycat Coleslaw Recipe

    I don’t know much about other coleslaw recipes but this KFC copycat coleslaw recipe is that you can put it together quickly. I kind of always though that coleslaw was complicated but not really!

    The ingredient list for this copycat coleslaw recipe is a bit longer than I usually like but once you start making it, it’s actually just some mixing together!

    Using this copycat recipe, KFC coleslaw just might be your go to dish to take along when you spend time with family and friends! I’ve included some affiliate links for the kitchen supplies I usually use to make this recipe (just in case you need to order anything).

    What you need:

    • 1 (1 lb.) package coleslaw mix with cabbage and carrots
    • 2 TBS minced onion
    • 1/3 c. sugar
    • 1/2 tsp. salt
    • 1/8 tsp. pepper
    • 1/4 c. milk
    • 1/2 c. mayo
    • 1/4 c. buttermilk
    • 1 1/2 TBS white vinegar
    • 2 1/2 TBS lemon juice
    • Dried Parsley

    What you do:

    1. Place coleslaw mix in a large bowl. Add onions. Mix well. (If you want the cabbage and carrots to be more the texture of KFC, place mix in a food processor and pulse to cut up finer.)
    2. In a medium bowl combine buttermilk, milk, mayo, sugar, salt, pepper, vinegar, and lemon juice. Whisk well.
    3. Pour over cabbage mix. Stir well.
    4. Sprinkle with dried parsley.
    5. Chill for at least 2 hours before serving.

    Copycat KFC Coleslaw

    Ingredients

      I use to work for the Giles company that made KFC’S coleslaws. I personally love KFC coleslaw. In your recipe its states “See Note below.: Where is it. and what is it.
