Our New Years Eve celebrations have changed now that we have kids. I’ll admit that I have trouble even making it to midnight. But it’s still a blast to celebrate with them. And this year W helped me make an easy kid friendly new years eve activity to help us celebrate this year!

Kid Friendly New Years Eve Idea: Countdown Marshmallow Pops

As you know, when it comes to getting kids involved, the activities need to be fairly simple and easy. As W gets older I’m sure we will be able to do more involved projects but for now I cater to his shorter attention (and his love for marshmallows with this one!) And if you don’t want to let the kids help with this one and just want to let them enjoy the sweet treats, it’s a super quick way to sweeten up your New Years Eve celebration!

    1. Use food decorator pens to write numbers on marshmallows.
    2. Stick each marshmallow on a stick.

And within minutes you have some adorable Countdown Marshmallow Pops! You could also use your food decorator pens to draw clock faces on the marshmallows if you wanted a few different types of pops for your celebration.

I also love the idea of making some of these easy Colored Sugar Marshmallow Pops to go along with the numbered ones. Use bright colored sugar to make it fun and festive!
