    Why I Love Pistachio Fluff

    • This recipe has no baking and doesnโ€™t take much prep time. You just mix a few ingredients together and you have a dessert ready in minutes. This makes it a great recipe for getting kids in the kitchen!
    • Pistachio fluff salad uses simple items like pudding mix, Cool Whip, and pineapple which are easy to find at any grocery store.
    • Great for potlucks, family gatherings, picnics, or as a simple weeknight dessert. This makes it a good recipe to have on hand for all seasons and holidays.
    • Pistachio salad is also easy to customize. You can mix in extras like coconut, fruit, or swap nuts to suit your tastes or dietary needs.

    What is a Fluff Salad?

Fluff salad is a sweet, creamy dessert salad thatโ€™s made with whipped topping, pudding or jello mix, fruit, and mix-ins such as mini marshmallows, nuts, and shredded coconut. Some popular types of fluff salads are this Watergate salad, ambrosia salad, and strawberry or orange fluff.

Itโ€™s often served as dessert or a side dish.

    Leftovers & Storage

You can cover any leftover green fluff with plastic wrap (or put it in an airtight container) and keep it up in the refrigerator for up to three days. When serving leftovers, gently stir the fluff before serving again.

    Tips & Tricks

    • Make sure that your whipped topping is thawed so that it will mix in smoothly. Be sure to use Cool Whip and not just whipped cream. They have different textures and it will not be quite right if you donโ€™t use whipped topping.
    • You can use your favorite nuts in this recipe. Try walnuts or pistachios!
    • You can also use the pineapple juice. Some people do not drain their crushed pineapple. I tend to drain the juice that I can because I prefer the pistachio fruit salad to be a little thicker in texture. Mixing in more juice will give you a bit thinner of a consistency.
    • You can also garnish this fluff salad with maraschino cherries for an extra pop of color!
