Crack chicken sandwiches? Check! Just add your favorite bread or buns.

Crack chicken dip? Count me in! It’s great with celery, pita chips, and your other favorite dippers.

How about on nachos? Or in enchiladas? Lettuce wraps?

    • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts
    • 1 8-ounce block cream cheese

Here are a few things we recommend you have in your kitchen when you make crack cream cheese chicken in the slow cooker:

If you want your clean up to be super easy, I highly recommend using Slow Cooker Liners with this recipe! When your food is ready, it’s simple to just pull the liner out, leaving your Crock Pot clean!

Lately, I’ve loved having it on Hawaiian rolls. Crockpot shredded chicken sandwiches are one of my favorite easy meal ideas and adding the Hawaiian bread just makes it even tastier!

If you want to fancy your crack chicken up a bit, you can also add in shredded cheddar cheese and sour cream. Topping it with green onions and more crumbled bacon is delicious too!

Crack chicken earns its name because it’s SO ADDICTIVE! Once you try a bite, you’ll want another bite! The combination of cream cheese and bacon will have you hooked! It’s also extremely versatile and is great for entertaining!

You can serve it as dip with your favorite dippers, make sandwiches, put it on pasta, serve it with rice, or even make a casserole!

IS THERE A QUICKER WAY TO MAKE THIS CRACK CHICKEN RECIPE?

One of my favorite ways to save time is to pick up a rotisserie chicken. You can pull meat of off it and then warm up the remaining ingredients before mixing in the chicken.

Sometimes I make a big batch of Crockpot Shredded Chicken and keep it on hand. Then I can whip up a quick batch of by doing the same thing as you would with the rotisserie chicken.

CAN I MAKE INSTANT POT CRACK CHICKEN WITH THIS RECIPE?

Absolutely! You can tweak this recipe for your Instant Pot, but I’ve got an Instant Pot Crack Chicken recipe that is one of the easiest ones you’ll find! They don’t use a ranch packet, but you could easily swap it in and have a very similar crack chicken recipe to our Crockpot Crack Chicken! Click here to check out the recipe!

If you’re looking for low carb chicken crockpot recipes, crack chicken is definitely one to keep on hand.

HOW DO I MAKE BUFFALO CRACK CHICKEN?

It’s easy to add some heat to this recipe and turn it into Buffalo Crack Chicken! All you have to do is add buffalo sauce or hot sauce to taste. I usually add it at the end when I mix the shredded chicken back in the slow cooker. If your whole family is okay with buffalo flavor, then you can also add it at the beginning with the rest of the ingredients.

If you’re serving crack chicken sandwiches, you can also top the chicken with buffalo sauce or even your favorite BBQ sauce for extra flavor!

HOW DO I MAKE CRACK CHICKEN IN THE OVEN?

To make ranch crack chicken in the oven, you’ll need shredded chicken. I like to make a batch of our Crockpot Shredded Chicken for recipes. It’s perfect for making crack chicken dip in the oven.

Heat the oven to 350 degrees and spray an 8×8 or 9×9 square pan with non-stick cooking spray. Mix all of the ingredients in a large bowl and pour into the baking pan. Top with shredded cheese and extra bacon, if desired. Then back for about 20 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

It’s that easy! No matter how you make this recipe, it’s so delicious!

Can I put frozen chicken in the slow cooker with everything for the same amount of time? Or do I need to adjust the time?

I’d cook it on LOW and you made need to let it cook a bit longer. I’d check it at 6 hours but be prepared to need up to 8 hours.

You can freeze it. I would put it into a gallon-sized freezer bag and label it with the date it needs to be used by. Then seal it up and you can keep it in the freezer for about three months!
