    Easy to Make Unicorn Cookies

If you haven’t tried any of our cake mix cookies recipes before, we’ve made quite a few. My current favorites include this chocolate cake mix cookie recipe and our lemon cake mix cookies.

But these new Unicorn Cookies might just take the top spot as our favorites! I think they’re just as much fun to eat as they are to make!

Whether you decide to call them Unicorn Cookies or go with the fun version of the name and make Unicorn Poop Cookies, these are fun to make no matter what you’re celebrating!

The ingredients you need to make unicorn cookies.

    Unicorn Sugar Cookies Ingredients

    • 1 box of white cake mix, any brand
    • 2 large eggs
    • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
    • 2 Tbsp. flour
    • 4-5 different colored sugars
    • Hershey’s Birthday Kisses

For these cookies, we used orange, yellow, pink, blue and purple colored sugars. You can customize your unicorn kiss cookies with any colors that you like. Generally, we try to give them a rainbow vibe that seems to best fit the “unicorn” theme.

Also, if you’re having trouble finding the Hershey’s Birthday Kisses, you can use any white chocolate Kisses. The Cookies ‘n’ Creme Kisses work great too!

We have seen the Birthday Kisses at most of our local stores around here including the grocery stores, Target and Walmart! Or you can always order a bunch on Amazon!

How to make the unicorn cookies recipe.

    Unicorn Cookies Recipe

This recipe is easy to make. If you’ve made cake mix cookies before then you know the basics. We just jazz the basic recipe up a bit with the colored sugar to turn it into the unicorn poop cookies recipe!

    1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
    2. Pour the colored sugars onto a plate. You can place them all on one plate, just keep them slightly separated.
    3. Combine the cake mix, eggs, oil and flour in a large bowl. Mix well.
    4. Scoop the cookie dough into 2″ balls using a cookie scoop or a regular large spoon.
    5. Dip each cookie ball into the colored sugar. You can either make them a solid color or turn each ball slightly and dip in the next color for the rainbow effect!
    6. Place the cookie dough balls 2-3 inches apart on the baking sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes.
    7. Remove from the oven and let cool 5-6 minutes. (Be sure to wait a few minutes for this cool time or the Hershey’s Kisses will melt when you put them on the cookies!)
    8. Place one Hershey’s Birthday Kiss in the center of each Unicorn cookie.

This recipe makes approximately 2 dozen unicorn cookies.

Hello, my daughter found this recipe and me if I could make for my granddaughter’s first birthday. It sounds lovely and would like to make it, but it doesn’t say how much flour to add to it. Could you let me know by sending me an email, if possible?Thank you kindly,
