1cupto 1 1/3 cup waterdepending on what your mix calls for (substitute whole milk to make it taste more like homemade!)
1/2cupof Mini M&M chocolate candiesone tube works well
1can Vanilla or Buttercream frosting
1bag regular size M&M chocolate candies
Zipper seal plastic bag or Decorating Bag with a large tip
Instructions
Heat the oven to 350 degrees and line cupcake pan with liners.
Prepare your cake mix according to the directions on the packaging. Add an egg and substitute milk for water if you want a more homemade taste!
Right before you put cake batter into the cupcake liners, add the 1/2 cup of Mini M&M chocolate candies into the batter and mix.
Fill each cupcake liner 2/3 full.
Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Remove from the oven and allow to cool for 10 minutes.
Remove from cupcake pan and place on wire rack to cool completely.
Fill a zipper seal plastic back with frosting (you can whip it with a hand mixer before to make it lighter) and snip the corner off the bag. Or use a Decorating Bag with a large tip.
Start by frosting the outer edge of the cupcake and work your way around to the center.
Sprinkle with different colored M&M chocolate candies (you can use mini or regular sized).
