Dump the cans of apple filling into the 9×13 pan and spread out in an even layer over the bottom of the baking dish.
Sprinkle apple pie spice over the top of the apple pie filling.
Then sprinkle the yellow cake mix over the top of the apple layers.
In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter then pour it over the top of the cake mix layer.
Bake for 40 minutes or until golden and bubbly.
Allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Storage: To store leftover apple dump cake, cover the pan with foil or transfer pieces to an airtight container. Keep it in the refrigerator for up to four days.
