- Microwave-safe bowl (one for each color)
- Spoon (one for each color)
Ingredients
- 12 pretzel rods
- ½ cup red candy melts
- ½ cup white candy melts
- ½ cup blue candy melts
- 2 tablespoons red white and blue sprinkles
Instructions
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to put your finished pretzels on.
- Place ½ cup of red candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave at 50% power or on the defrost setting for 30 seconds. Stir. Continue microwaving in 30-second increments, stirring in between, until the candy melts are fully melted and smooth.
- One at a time, dip 4 pretzel rods in the red melted candy. Cover at least half of the pretzel. You can tilt the bowl and use a spoon to help coat the pretzels.
- Shake off any excess candy melt off of the pretzel rod and then set on the parchment paper.
- While the melted candy is still wet, sprinkle each pretzel with sprinkles.
- Repeat the melting, dipping, and sprinkles process with the blue candy melts and then the white candy melts.
- Allow the pretzels to sit at room temperature until the candy melts harden. This should take 10-20 minutes.
- Serve once hardened or store in an airtight container at room temperature until ready to serve.

Notes: Store leftover patriotic pretzels in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
