ABOUT A MERRY CHRISTMAS MATCH

In “A Merry Christmas Match” we meet Corey who lives in a ski village where she works at a local antique shop. When recently named Christmas Catch Ryder comes into her shop, sparks fly and she starts to wonder what could be. The movie stars Ashley Newbrough and Kyle Dean Massey.

Actor Kyle Dean Massey wearing a reindeer costume

I’m a huge fan of Kyle Dean Massey and his work in a variety of Broadway shows, but you probably recognize him from the television series Nashville.

Actress Ashley Newbrough wearing a white dress

Ashley Newbrough has had recurring roles on a number of television shows and has starred in Hallmark Channel’s “Love Under the Stars” and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries’ “Small Town Christmas.”

There’s nothing like the special moments we share during the holiday season. So many of my favorite memories with my family are during the Christmas season. Watching movies together is one way we spend time together. My mom and I like to grab a cup of hot tea and hot chocolate then sit down to enjoy movies together. On family movie nights we like to bake and make hot chocolate for everyone!

The holidays mean to me –family. I come from a large family and it was always a time to be together. Once everyone went to school they would come home for the holidays and we enjoyed spending time together. Now that everyone is married with their own families –at times we are able to get together but always via email or the phone or skype or even a letter is a good way of keeping it real with the holidays.

Over the last couple years we lost both of my brothers. We take time to remember them and carry on traditions that we had with them. The holidays mean so much to me and my family

I don’t have a very large family and the family I do have are so spread out around the U.S. and Canada it’s not very often we are in one place at one time. So my holidays are mainly spent with my in-laws, we have always gotten along great and they have always accepted me as part of the family. It’s good to feel special especially during the holidays and be around “family”, blood or not.

The holidays are a time when we reflect on the past year and cherish our loved ones both family and dear friends. A time to cuddle with the one you love share holiday memories and make new ones with the little ones. It is the best time of the year.
