    Everything on the ingredient list for these apple cinnamon muffins should be familiar and easy to find at your local grocery store.

    For the muffins, youโ€™ll need:

    • Flour
    • Baking powder
    • Baking soda
    • Salt
    • Ground cinnamon
    • Sugar
    • Brown sugar
    • Butter
    • Eggs
    • Vanilla extract
    • Milk
    • Apples

    For the crumb topping:

    • Flour

    Step By Step Directions

    This recipe makes 12 muffins. It takes 15 minutes of prep time and 20 minutes of cook time.

    Step 1. Preheat the oven to 350ยฐ. Line a muffin pan with paper cupcake liners or spray with nonstick cooking spray.

    Step 2.ย Peel, core, and dice the apples.

    Step 3. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon.

    Step 4. In another large mixing bowl, beat together the sugar, brown sugar, melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and milk until well combined.

    Step 5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined. Avoid overmixing.

    Step 6. Gently fold in the diced apples.

    Step 7. In a small bowl, combine the flour, brown sugar, and cinnamon for the crumb topping. Add the softened butter and mix with a fork or your fingers until the mixture looks like coarse crumbs.

    Step 8. Divide the muffin batter evenly among the muffin cups, filling each about three-quarters full.

    Step 9. Sprinkle the crumb topping over each muffin.

    Step 10. Bake for 18 to 22 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

    Step 11. Let the muffins cool in the pan for a few minutes and then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
