With Easter just around the corner, I can’t help but start thinking about ham. It’s the traditional meal some of my family likes, but sometimes I want to make a baked ham just for our smaller family. Air Fryer Ham is the perfect solution! (Yes, I’m working my way through trying everything in the air fryer!)

Air Fryer Ham
I discovered that using an air fryer for cooking ham maintains its juiciness in a way that surprised me. Combine the delicious, traditional flavor with the hassle-free approach of air frying, and I’m sold!
Why You’ll Love This Recipe
- Packed with flavor: Air frying the ham maintains the juiciness you’re looking for and enhances the flavor! If you’re looking for tender and juicy ham, you should definitely try this recipe.
- Quick and convenient: This recipe simplifies cooking, saving you time but giving you the same delicious results! You can have a glazed ham ready in less than an hour!
- Perfect for every day: This recipe works great for a smaller meal. You don’t have to cook a huge ham that feeds 20 every time you’re craving some classic potatoes and ham slices.
Why Choose an Air Fryer for Your Ham
There are a few reasons I recommend trying this air fryer ham recipe:
- Compared to more traditional cooking methods, the air fryer reduces the cooking time. In less than an hour, you’ll have a fully cooked ham that can be served with your favorite side dishes. This makes it perfect for special occasions and holidays or just for dinner tomorrow night!
- If you’re worried about how air fried ham tastes, you don’t need to worry. You can get moist, flavorful ham using the air fryer. The key is to use a fully cooked ham and wrap it in foil. This will help ensure that your ham doesn’t get dried out or overbrowned.
- This recipe is also versatile and you can use a variety of seasonings or glazes to tweak the flavor of your ham. If you like it on ham, you can probably use it on air fryer ham!
Ingredients
For this recipe, I used a glaze made with items I typically have in my kitchen. It has a sweet and savory flavor but you can also use your favorite glazes or seasonings for ham. See the recipe card at the bottom of the post for full ingredient measurements.
- Small boneless ham (around 3 pounds)
- Brown sugar
- Honey
- Dijon mustard

Cooking Your Ham in the Air Fryer
This recipe makes 6 servings. It takes about 5 minutes of prep time and approximately 40-45 minutes of cooking time in the air fryer. I also recommend allowing it to sit for 10 minutes once you remove it from the air fryer.
1. Preheat the air fryer to 320°F, if preheating is required by your air fryer model.
When you open the foil on the ham, make sure you it around the ham enough to catch any drippings for easier clean up.
6. Remove the ham from the air fryer and allow it to rest for 10 minutes before serving.
Variations
You can try your favorite glazes, sauces, and seasonings with this recipe! Try some of these ideas:
- Brown sugar glaze
- Honey (or try hot honey of you like a kick!)
- Pineapple juice
- Garlic and Melted butter
- Ginger and soy sauce
- Ground cinnamon and cloves
You can also top your ham with pineapple rings for a traditional feel. If you add them with a few minutes left in the cooking time, they will get warm. Then drizzle some leftover glaze over them for a finishing touch.
