    Leftovers Storage & Reheating

You can store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. To reheat, microwave until heated through.

You can freeze crockpot Mississippi chicken and use it as a freezer meal. Put it in a freezer bag or airtight freezer-safe container and freeze for up to 3 months.

    Tips & Tricks

    • Cook on low for best results. Slow cooking on low for 6-8 hours will give you tender chicken and allow the flavors to blend together.
    • If youโ€™re worried about the spice from the pepperoncini peppers, they are very mild. You can reduce the amount of juice you use if youโ€™re concerned but it really just adds a zesty tang to the flavor.
    • If you like more heat in your recipes, add some jalapenos or red pepper flakes.
    • Try using Crock Pot Mississippi Chicken on buns with melted provolone cheese or mozzarella cheese to make Mississippi Chicken sliders!
    • Prep everything the night before and store it in the refrigerator, then you can toss it all in the slow cooker in the morning for quick and easy dinner prep.
    • Try serving Mississippi chicken over white rice, brown rice, cauliflower rice, egg noodles, or madhes potatoes. You can also use it to top a baked potato.
