This recipe makes 8 servings. It takes about 5 minutes of prep time and I recommend chilling for at least 1 hour before serving (though it is delicious right after you mix it too!)

Step 1.ย Use a cheese grater or zester to zest time lime and then set aside.

Step 2.ย Use an electric mixer to beat the cream cheese in the large mixing bowl until itโ€™s smooth.

    Variations

You can change up this recipe a bit by tweaking the mix-ins or toppings to add some extra flavor. Try some of these ideas:

    • Add shredded coconut for a tropical touch.
    • Stir in white chocolate chips for extra sweetness.
    • Fold in sliced strawberries or blueberries for more color and flavor.
    • Sprinkle crushed graham crackers or vanilla wafers on top for crunch.
    • Add a layer of toasted coconut flakes.
    • Drizzle melted white chocolate or sweet berry sauce over the dip.

What to Dip in Key Lime Pie Dip

Graham crackers will give you the full key lime pie vibe, but this dip pairs well with a pretty big variety of different dippers. Try some of these ideas:

    • Vanilla wafers
    • Teddy grahams
    • Animal crackers
    • Chocolate chip cookies
    • Oreos
    • Golden Oreos
    • Shortbread cookies
    • Strawberries
    • Bananas
    • Apple slices
    • Raspberries
    • Pineapple
    • Biscotti
    • Cinnamon sugar pita chips
    • Rice Krispies treats
    • Pound cake or angel food cake
    • Pretzel rods or twists
    • Potato chips

    Leftovers & Storage

You can keep your key lime pie cheesecake dip or any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days. When serving leftovers, stir the dip and top with additional key lime zest or graham cracker crumbs.

    Tips & Tricks

    • Let the cream cheese sit at room temperature for 30 minutes before mixing. This will help you to get a smooth and lump-free mixture.
    • Be sure to gently fold in whipped topping to keep the dip light and fluffy.
    • For a thicker dip, use less whipped topping. For a fluffier dip, add more.
    • You can use a stand mixer or an electric mixer to blend the ingredients together. If you donโ€™t have either, you can just use a spatula or mixing spoon. It will just take a bit more work on your part.
    • Fresh key lime juice and zest add the best flavor. Regular limes work if key limes arenโ€™t available. Regular limes can also be easier to zest. But key limes will give you the tart flavors of key lime pie.
    • If you want this easy key lime pie dip to be more green in color, you can mix in a drop or two of green food coloring.

    More Sweet Dips

    • Nutella Dip
    • Funfetti Dip
    • Chocolate Chip Dip
    • Strawberry Cheesecake Dip
    • Cherry Cheesecake Dip
    • Brownie Batter Dip
    • Booty Dip
