Step By Step Directions
This recipe makes 16 servings and takes 15 to 20 minutes to prepare and at least an hour of cooling time.
Step 1.ย Preheat the oven to 325โ.
Step 2.ย Line the baking sheet with parchment paper. Line up the saltine crackers in an even layer. If you are using a larger pan, you can use additional saltines to fill your pan.

Step 3. In a medium saucepan over low to medium heat, melt the butter.
Step 4.ย Once the butter is melted add the brown sugar and bring the mixture to a boil. Boil 2 to 3 minutes stirring so it doesnโt burn.
Step 5.ย Remove the pan from the heat and pour the butter and sugar mixture over the crackers and smooth evenly.
Step 6.ย Immediately put the pan into the oven and back for 6 to 8 minutes. You want the brown sugar mixture to be bubbly.

Step 7.ย Take the pan out of the oven and immediately sprinkle the white chocolate chips over the top of the crackers so they will melt. Let the crackers sit for 1 to 2 minutes for the chocolate to melt and then smooth out evenly over the top with a silicone spatula.
Step 8. Sprinkle the M&Ms andย sprinkles over the melted chocolate.
Step 9. Let the bark cool and then move the pan to the refrigerator to chill for 1 hour.
Step 10. Once the cracker bark has cooled and hardened, remove it from the pan and break it into pieces and enjoy.

Leftovers & Storage
You can store leftover toffee in an airtight container at room temperature for about a week. You can also store it in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
Variations
There are a couple of different variations that are super easy to make this recipe work for different occasions:
- Change it up for different holidays.ย Use red and green sprinkles and candy for Christmas (I use milk chocolate and sprinkles that are red, green, and white in my Christmas Crack version.) Black, orange, purple, and lime green are great colors for Halloween. Red and pink look perfect on white chocolate for Valentineโs Day.
- Add nuts.ย If you like nuts, theyโre the perfect addition to this cracker toffee.ย Sprinkle chopped pecans, almonds, walnuts, or peanuts over the melted chocolate with the sprinkles or instead of sprinkles and candy.
- Change up the chocolate.ย You can use your favorite kind of chocolate for this recipe. Try milk chocolate, semi-sweet, or dark chocolate chips instead of white chocolate. You can also use a combination of different chocolate chips and swirl them on top of the crackers for a fun look and extra flavor.
- Get fruity. You can also try dried fruit instead of candy. Try dried cranberries or other freeze-fried fruits (some are great with coconut flakes too).

Tips & Tricks
- Always use parchment paper or foil for easy removal and less of a mess to clean up
- To keep the toffee even, be sure to arrange crackers in a tight, single layer with no gaps.
- When youโre boiling the butter and brown sugar, do not walk away! You do not what your mixture to burn.
- Be sure to srinkle on your decorations or toppings while the chocolate is still warm and melty so they stick.
