With the holidays right around the corner, I’m looking for easy ways to keep the kids busy and to add some festive decor to our home! These twelve homemade christmas ornaments all start with the same clear ornament but give you a bunch of options to match all of your other holiday decorations!

12 Homemade Christmas Ornament Ideas - All you need are clear ornaments!

    12 Homemade Christmas Ornament Ideas

If you’re looking for some fun ornament ideas, I have twelve great ideas for you! You might even have most of the materials in your house already! We had quite a few in our craft cabinet!

All you need to get started is a set of 12 clear ornaments. If you’re going to be making any of these ideas with the kids, I highly recommend going with the plastic ornaments rather than the glass. But either way you can get the ornaments at most craft stores or dollar stores for under $1 each!

    1. Scrap Paper Ornament
    2. Scrap Ribbon Ornament
    3. Tinsel Ornament
    4. Paper Straw Ornament
    5. Pom Pom Ornament
    6. Mustache Ornament
    7. Silk Flower Ornament
    8. Swirl Paint Ornament
    9. Glitter Ornament
    10. Fairy Garden Ornament
    11. Frosty Pine Ornament
    12. Melted Snowman Ornament

These would be fun to make with your kids or as an activity at a holiday party that you might host. They also make great gifts for your kids to give to family members or their friends.

Once you start filling clear ornaments with different materials, you might not be able to stop! The ideas are endless! I actually have a few more in mind that I’m going to try and whip up before Christmas arrives!

Which of these homemade Christmas ornament ideas is your favorite?

I’ve done some ornaments similar to these, but some of these will be on my tree this year along with some gifts to friends. Thanks so much for sharing.
