Why We Love Patriotic Frozen Yogurt Bites

    • These frozen yogurt bites are patriotic themed without using any candy or sprinkles.
    • This recipe uses strawberries and blueberries which are some of the most delicious summer fruits.
    • You can make these quickly and itโ€™s a no bake recipe the kids can help out with. They just need adult supervision for slicing the strawberries if they are younger.

    Ingredients

The ingredient list for these yogurt bites is super simple and you should be able to find everything that you need at your local grocery store. Hereโ€™s what you need:

    • Vanilla Greek yogurt
    • Blueberries
    • Strawberries
    • Granola

The exact measurements for each ingredient can be found in the printable recipe card at the bottom of the post.

    Equipment

Youโ€™ll also need a few things from your kitchen to make red white and blue fruit salad:

    • Colander
    • Chefโ€™s knife
    • Cutting board
    • 9ร—13 baking sheet
    • Parchment paper
    • Spoon

    Step By Step Directions

This recipe makes about 18 servings. You need about 10 minutes of prep time and between 2 and 4 hours of freezing time.

Step 1.ย Wash the blueberries and strawberries. Slice the strawberries and set aside.

Step 2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 3. Using a spoon, drop 2-3 tablespoon dollops of the yogurt mixture onto the parchment paper, leaving space between them.

Step 4. On each yogurt dollop, evenly place blueberries, sliced strawberries, and a sprinkle of granola.

Step 5. Place the baking sheet in the freezer and freeze for at 2 to 4 hours or until the yogurt is fully frozen and firm.

Step 6. When the yogurt bites are completely frozen, remove them from the freezer. Enjoy them immediately or store them in an airtight container or freezer bag in the freezer for up to 2 weeks.

    Leftovers & Storage

You can store red white and blue frozen yogurt bites in a freezer bag or airtight container for up to 2 weeks in the freezer. I recommend putting pieces of parchment paper between the pieces of frozen yogurt when storing them so they donโ€™t stick together.

    Tips & Tricks

    • Substitute raspberries for strawberries for an even easier prep while still keeping the red, white, and blue colors.
    • You can use dried fruit in place of fresh fruit in this recipe. The flavors might not be quite as strong as using fresh berries.
    • These are a great make ahead dessert for a crowd. You can make a bunch of them at one time and keep them in the freezer until youโ€™re ready to eat them. Theyโ€™re a great cool down treat for celebrations like Memorial Day and the 4th of July, but theyโ€™re also perfect for an afternoon by the pool!
