Valentine’s Day Activities for Kids
When it comes to Valentine’s Day, I’m all about getting crafty and getting in the kitchen! I love hearts and the color pink so I blame it a bit on that.
Plus all the stores have some of the cutest Valentine’s decor items out. It’s hard for me to resist them all!
But silliness aside, I really like having a little theme for activities to do with the kids! I know we don’t need a reason, but it’s fun to tell them I’m ready to do a valentine project! They always get excited!
Activities for Valentine’s Day
Most of the Valentine’s Day Activities for kids that we enjoy doing fall into four categories.
- Valentine’s Day Craft Activities
- Valentine Day Treats
- Valentine games
- DIY/Printable Valentines for Kids
I think those categories cover pretty much anything you might want to do with your kids this Valentine’s Day! So I hope you find a few fun projects to do together and create some new memories you’ll remember forever!

We’ve got quite a few easy Valentine crafts that we’ve created over the past few years.

Valentine Treats & Sweet Desserts
Valentine’s Day is all about the sweets, right?
Every store I go in seems to have at least two aisles dedicated to all kinds of candy or candy gift sets! Then there are all of the valentines you can buy in the store that come with some kind of candy for your kids to take to school.
So it’s clearly the perfect reason to spend the first few weeks of February valentines treats for your kids (and you) to enjoy!
I might be making it sound like Valentine Day treats have to be all chocolate and candy hearts, but we’ve got a variety of ideas including the sweet desserts and candy bark, but also some healthier Valentine’s Day snack ideas too!
- Cake Mix Cookies
- Peanut Butter Balls
- Graham Cracker Snacks (done three different ways!)
- Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookies
- Candy Cookie bark
- Cake balls
- and more!
Find them all on our Easy Valentine Treats page!
If you want to bake but want to keep it as simple as possible, just pick up some pre-made cookie dough and make cookies with the kids! You can sprinkle them with Valentine sprinkles to add some festive too them!
Or buy some sugar cookies in the bakery at your local store and let your kids decorate them with frosting and sprinkles!
